The search is finally working again. At 33 million records our search was getting too large for the old method we were using, and as a result our servers kept getting overloaded during the site's peak hours. We have now changed the standard phpbb fulltext we had to sphinx (http://sphinxsearch.com/), a search engine that is highly optimized for large databases. Not only does this improve performance and search speed (we went from search queries taking up to a second at peak times to 0.027 seconds) but it allows you to search for words with two or three letters, which was previously impossible. The only downside is that new posts will be added to the search every 60 minutes.

If you encounter any errors please let us know.

You can search for "GO Keyboard" for example and it will return GO Keyboard rather than all keyboards. I don't think we have auto-correct.

Hm, search posts by user doesn't work well. search.php?author_id=2141&sr=posts
Newest posts are not included. Is there any reason for it?

greetings

Dear XVI I tried searching for scare your friends, the search showed none of the applications, then I tried searching for angry birds same result, then i searched for ang same result. But when I used google search on the site I found all these application on the site. I doubt if the search engine is working efficiently. Please re check.
Thanks

I personally think that google search was the best. If you could incorporate google search in the site that nothing like it.

Ummm.. i'm new to the site. And I was wondering why whenever I search for something, it doesn't work (No suitable matches found.), even though the book and author is available on the forum?

I think you guys might have accessed it just as it was updating. Maybe it doesn't work during that short period, I dont know. Or maybe something was just being changed by the tech guys.
