Is this an Apple iBook format ebook?

Apparently an "ibook" is a slightly corrupted EPUB that uses some proprietary Apple CSS. An EPUB is nothing more than a ZIP archive with certain files inside it. Try copying the file to a PC and then unzipping it. This should result in a bunch of HTML files for the text, JPG/GIF/PNG/SVG files for any images such as logos and covers, and a few control files ending in .OPF and .NCX and maybe .XML

You can then view the HTML in anything. I'm pretty sure even Kindle can display HTML files.
