But for some reason, Justice Hanks made him want to not only stick around, but she also made him want to put down some roots—and that was something that he thought he’d never do.
Justice had one job, and that was to avoid her stalker as she finished her book tour. She knew that he was out there, but she wasn’t going to let that stop her from going on this whirlwind tour that her publicist had booked for her. City after city, her stalker had made it clear that he was hot on her heels, but there was no way that she’d tuck tail and go back home, not after she had come so far. Hiring Steel Blaine as her bodyguard wasn’t her best idea, but it was the only one she could come up with. She’d known him her whole life and asking the boy she had such a crush on in grade school felt like a foolish mistake, but she was good at making those. She just never imagined that Steel would return her feelings or that he’d ask her for more than she’d be willing to give him.
