I'm a relatively new user here, and ever since I started using this forum I've wondered why it hasn't adopted a more advanced sub forum navigation similar to Reddit's Hot, New and Top.
Obviously, we have a "Top apps" and "Top books" section by the end of every page, but it is not flexible and very narrow as it shows a very limited list.

Is there a reason the site doesn't adapt a richer navigation system?

I can think of a lot of reasons why it can enrich someone's experience of the forum, for example if I haven't browsed the site for a month I would want to know which posts got the most recognition and attention, keeping me updated of new apps that might have dragged everyone's attention.

Obviously there's a few downsides, as such system can create too much attention and popularity for mainstream usage which can draw the attention of other potential threats to the site like the media.

Do you support forum filters? Why?
