The Wollemi Pine is one of the world's oldest and rarest plants, dating back to the time of the dinosaurs. With fewer than 100 adult trees known to exist in the wild, the Wollemi Pine is now the focus of extensive research to safeguard its survival.

Thought by botanists to be completely extinct, three stands of the Wollemi Pines were discovered in 1994 in remote Wollemi National Park, situated just north of the famous Blue Mountains National Park, in New South Wales, Australia.

After 24 years, the exact location of these amazing trees still hasn't been disclosed to the general public. However, seeds have been successfully obtained, and healthy Wollemi Pines have been grown in Sydney and shipped around the world, to make sure that they are safe for future generations. In fact, Wollemi Pine seedlings are readily available now in plant nurseries around Australia.
