Rachel Rising by Terry Moore (7 Volumes)

Overview: After a few unsuccessful attempts at creating a newspaper strip in the late 80’s, Terry Moore decided to follow the lead of indie pioneers like Dave Sim and Jeff Smith by self-publishing a comic book under an imprint he called “Abstract Studios.” That comic book was entitled STRANGERS IN PARADISE and first appeared as a couple of short stories in NEGATIVE BURN.
STRANGERS IN PARADISE turned out to be a great commercial triumph in the independent comic realm and was published alternately through Abstract and Image for over ten years. Moore received the Eisner award in 1996 for Best Serialized Story for the SIP story collected in the trade paperback "I Dream of You."
Moore's next self-published series was ECHO, which appeared from March 2008 to March 2011.
His third self-published series was Rachel Rising, starting in 2011.

Volume 2, Fear No Malus: Rachel and Jet are dead. So why are they still here, looking drop dead gorgeous? Zoe, a 10-year old serial killer, suggests the answer is Lilith, an ethereal woman who seeks to destroy the town that hung them for witchcraft over 300 years ago. But Zoe is full of surprises, including an indwelling demon named Malus with his own wicked plan reaching far beyond the city limits. The only thing standing in his way is... Rachel.
Collects #7-12.
Volume 3, Cemetery Songs: Dark forces are at work in Manson. The relentless snow falls like a body count and the town in infested with rats. It's all the work of Lilith as she brings judgement to the town that persecuted her 300 years ago. Only Rachel and Jet can stop the ageless witch, but Rachel is struggling to recall her powers and Jet is lying frozen in a morgue. The body count is rising in Cemetery Songs.
Collects #13-18.
Volume 4, Winter Graves: Aunt Johnny lies dead in a mortuary, Manson is buried under the snowstorm of the century and Jet is possessed by a 15-year-old boy from the 1600s. Rachel can save them all, if she can find the spell chest she buried 300 years ago. But first, she must learn the truth about her troubled past.
Collects issues #19 to 24.
Volume 5, Night Cometh: Rachel, Jet, and Aunt Johnny recover quickly from their harrowing adventures with the air of a magic herbal wrap, but they soon discover they've been the victims of a serial killer. Now they are determined to find the mysterious predator and deliver him to the evil of Zoe's knife.
Collects issues #25-30.
Volume 6, Secrets Kept: Rachel wakes from a deathly sleep to find her town gripped with fear as the rise in violent deaths mount. Knowing the demonic Malus is to blame, Rachel joins forces with Zoe to find and stop their common enemy. But Malus is enamored with Rachel and makes her an offer she might not be able to refuse!
Collects issues #31-36.
Volume 7, Dust to Dust: Rachel saves Zoe's life and finds the elusive demon Malus by looking through the eyes of his last victim. In an earth-shattering showdown, Lilith confronts Malus and fights for the future of humanity. Dust To Dust is the final book in the Rachel Rising story.
