The comic is written by science fiction author turned comic writer Joshua Ortega, and has been described by some as a 'dark version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.' While not an entirely accurate description, it is undeniable that Ortega's writing has some of the same elements -- a teenage girl dealing with destiny and the supernatural -- as Joss Whedon's Buffy did. Included here are all six issues of this "gothic fantasy adventure".
