Overview: I always have many ideas of things I'd like to write about. There are limitless ideas floating around and they often just pop into my head. Sometimes it's all those memories and experiences which merge to form life's collage. As a writer I often endeavor to make sense of things, but there are many things which can't be explained. Sometimes what inspires me seems to come from beyond.
Genre: Fiction Historical War
Kentucky Sky: Whispers on the Wind Ginny had a happy childhood in the 1860's on the peaceful farm near Louisville, Kentucky. It was a thriving farm with many horses, goats, pigs, chickens and cows. She loved feeding and talking to the farm animals, and riding her favorite horse through the green meadows surrounded by wild flowers. Then one day, in 1862, the soldiers came. Several forts were built around Louisville. This was when the hardships began, and The Civil War changed Ginny's life forever as she began to live in the shadow of danger.
Kriegszeit: A Time of War This story tells of a young woman's struggle against all odds in Nazi Germany. Kathe refused to conform with the demands of the SS, standing up against the authority of the regime and fighting to maintain her own values. Once devoted to National Socialist ideals, she changed after witnessing the degradation of "the undesirables" in her own community. She was not alone.
"When the SS were around they always seemed to fuel discontent or suspicion. We all hated it with a passion. They would come into the market place with their pompous loud rambling, telling us what to do, prying their noses into our business, taking people away into the night. I was terrified of them!"
Only great inner strength would help Kathe prevail against a world gone mad.
Wings of Creation: Stone Age Battle The story is set in the Neolithic stone Age, around 4500 BC, in Austria. The main character, Saline, is a young priestess in her clan. She must deal with the pressures and restrictions of cultural expectations. She falls in love with a young warrior, Mar. This causes her to have problems within the priestess class, and her decision making will determine the direction of her life. This is a Stone Age suspense novel similar to titles by Jean Auel, Werner Herzog, Fern Michaels, and Catherine M Wilson.
Lifted upon the Wings of Creation this time is not forgotten. Now we remember our own journey.
