2. Dark Water - Which is more important - a missing teenager or a dead body in a wheelie bin?
Daniel Owen knows they’re connected, but no one will listen.
Daniel and Mal are at daggers drawn, again. The bodies pile up in another Welsh mystery about drugs, missing teenagers, and rain, lots of rain.

3. Leavings - Setting up a new home with Mal was all fun and flat pack furniture for Daniel. Until Mal disappears on an undercover operation, leaving Daniel on his own to deal with three dead bodies, and trying to help a friend escape an abusive relationship.
A man is violently assaulted in town and Daniel is warned that if he investigates, he’ll get the same treatment. He knows the three bodies were murder victims, but he can’t prove it. Mal is getting more and more secretive. His friend Hector insists that the bruises happened when he ran into a door.
Daniel is fighting unseen enemies without any of the information he needs.
And then there’s Mal’s family who want to pretend Daniel doesn’t exist.

4. A Man - An early morning run. An abandoned child. A dead family.
Did John Edwards slaughter his wife and daughters, then kill himself? Why did the little boy survive the massacre? What are the hippies next door hiding?
DI Daniel Owen needs to be on top form for this one, but his last case won’t leave him alone. His boyfriend’s past won’t leave either of them alone. Daniel and Mal need to talk, because not talking will tear them apart.
Then they find the next body.

6. An Allotment of Time - Murder? Suicide? Accident? Or all three?
Daniel Owen is coming to terms with not being a cop. He’s happy to find a bunch of likeminded people at the town allotments — until one of them is brutally murdered.
Mal Kent is settling into his new job as the man-in-charge of Melin Tywyll CID. The fly in the ointment is bigoted, lazy DI Carey, Daniel’s replacement.
Carey wants to blame Daniel’s new friends for the murder, and with Daniel as their only alibi, accusations fly.
Daniel and Mal have to solve the case while Carey uses his friends in high places to undermine them at every turn. Carey knows too much, but is he a murderer?

7. A Teachable Moment- Husband-hunting can be fatal…
As a favour to their friend Sasha, Daniel and Mal are looking for the husband she fled so she can get a divorce and marry again. Instead of a husband, they find a mystery that could see Daniel charged with murder.
It turns out the husband wasn’t who he said he was, and anyway he’s dead. So who is living in the former marital home, and why is Daniel attacked after they visit? Then one of the people they’ve talked to is murdered, and the body is dumped on Daniel’s doorstep. Daniel is in the wrong place at the wrong time, and the local police have him in the frame for the killing.
Sasha’s husband was keeping secrets, and someone wants those secrets buried deeper than a nuclear bunker. If Daniel an Mal insist on digging up the past, they risk being buried too.

8. Interwoven - Daniel Owen has spent the best part of ten years renovating his house when he finds the cellar. By falling into it.
The mysterious cellar has a mysterious door, and behind the mysterious door is a mysterious box … and in the box … there are clues to the shocking history of Daniel’s beloved home town.
A cold case is occupying Mal Kent’s time. A notorious car thief is released from prison. Town and police station gossip says the thief killed an old man years ago, and the minute he gets out, there’s another death.
But Mal has other problems, problems that threaten his future as a police officer and his future with Daniel.
If that wasn’t enough, the wedding is six weeks away.
