Discuss internal Android hardware as well as accessories such as GPS receivers, keyboards, memory cards, cables, etc. here.

Not a simple question really.

I need to play books, video, music and use apps (Google Play access) and email etc.
I'll need wifi and probably Bluetooth.
7 or more inch screen.
And the best battery available.

The more hardware features, the better, but my budget is miniscule. :/

If you know of a comparison site where you can tick the boxes of the features you want in a tablet and then look up whatever Androids match what you're after - that'd answer my question.

A comparison site usually lists the features in a haphazard way so I can't compare them properly.

But either way - what is a good budget Android? I'm having trouble finding one.

I won't state my exact budget - just the cheapest and best. ;)

And if there are ways to get discounts, all the better. :)

I'm buying in Britain but American opinions etc will still be helpful. :)
Thanks.

Have you checked http://ipadalternative.com/? They sell android devices for a very reasonable price and they offer free world wide shipping.

I would say the Ainol Novo 7 is a pretty good tablet, with a 7 inch IPS screen.

You get what you pay for though...really can't stretch to a Nexus 7?

Maybe even bag a Nexus 7 16gb maybe, just to make it that little bit cheaper

Probably still the Tesco Hudl 2 thing. The more Tesco vouchers you have the price just goes down and down...

V good graphics of price/quad-core intel processor/sound is also very good. Bigger than the 7" things.

Unfortunately their big downside is the battery length (or lack of it). A couple of hours perhaps if wi-fi is turned on is not a great recommendation.

It depends what you want it for though... If you are in at home all the time and near a wall socket then very fine - just use it plugged in, or remember to turn it off and charge it in regularly. If it is for kids in the back of the car on a long journey then absolutely very not fine - a recipe for lots of tears when the battery runs out.

Mine is my development android tablet - it took a bit of tinkering to get it to work as a development tablet but once I realised Samsung generic USB drivers/ADB would work on it then happy days.
