How to activate the maps for TomTom PDA and TomTom PNA?

1. First of all you need to download the EasyUseTools by TTUser. Decompress the files. After this you have the following
Image

2. You need to download the map you need. I am using the Western_Europe_1GB maps for this guide. In the map folder you will find the following content or similar.
Image

Important here is the *.meta (in our case now Western_Europe_1GB-33.meta). The information about the meta data you will find in the meta.txt or in the release of the map. The information has the following format
Code: Select all; Western_Europe_1GB_830_2306
1A 2F A9 5E CF 54 6B AC 65 83 C7 09 97 BF 92 CF Western_Europe_1GB-33.meta

Normally this data is just included in the meta.txt file which you can find in the directory \Progs of the EasyUseTools by TTUser. If the keygen doesn't work you need to add the meta information to this file.
Image

3. Now you need to insert the DeviceUniqueIDwhich you can find in the *.bif (ttnavigator.bif for PDA, ttgo.bif for PNA) of your TomTom device without spaces in the DeviceID.txt of the EasyUseTools by TTUser. Otherwise you can search the device code on your device

4. Now you need to copy the *.meta from the map folder in the insert_meta_from_Map_here (in our case Western_Europe_1GB-33.meta)
5. When you have modified the DeviceID.txt, copied the *.meta and you have the correct meta.txt in /Progs you can execute the RunMeforDCT.cmd for the activation of your chosen map.

Image
In our case we choose 1 for PDA7.451, 7.910, 7.915; 7.900, 7.903, 8.010 and higher. When you have another version you need to use another number.

Here we choose now 1 for insert_meta_from_Map_here.

6. When the creation of the *.meta.dct was successful you will find two files in the insert_meta_from_Map_here folder. In our case there are now Western_Europe_1GB-33.meta and Western_Europe_1GB-33.meta.dct in the folder. You need to copy these two files into the map folder of your device.

7. Now the map is activated and should work. When you have a PNA you need to also patch the ttsystem or the pndnavigator with the EasyUseTools by TTUser or the yDGpatch by yDdraigGoch. The yDGpatch by yDdraigGoch is included in the EasyUseTools by TTUser. I also wrote up a description of how to patch the ttsystem or the pndnavigator, which you can find here

How to patch the ttsystem or pndnavigator for PNA

For patching the necessary files on a TomTom PNA (ttsystem or pndnavigator) you need to download the EasyUseTools by TTUser or the yDGpatch by yDdraigGoch. The yDGpatch by yDdraigGoch is included in the EasyUseTools by TTUser

1. First of all you need to download the EasyUseTools by TTUser or the yDGpatch by yDdraigGoch. In our case use the EasyUseTools by TTUser. Decompress the files. After this you have the following
Image

2. Now you need to take a look on your PNA with Windows Explorer. In the root of your device you will find a ttsystem or pndnavigator
Image

3. Copy the ttsystem and the pndnavigator (only when you have it) into the folder ttsystem_Patcher of the EasyUseTools by TTUser (in our case now I have only the ttsystem, because the GO x30 has no pndnavigator)
Image

4. Execute RunMe.bat and after the execution you will see something similar to this
Image

5. Now you will find in the folder a ttsystem and a ttsystem.old or a pndnavigator and pndnavigator.old (In our case only ttsystem and a ttsystem.old)
Image

6. Now you only need to copy these two files back to the root of your device

7. With a fully working map your TomTom will now work. When you need help on activating the maps for your TomTom device you can read this

Hi
These instructions are a work of art - EXCELLENT!
I've just ordered my first car sat nav the tomtom go 930 and it would be fantastic if your instructions could be updated to suit - is there any chance of this happening?
I've got to as - please, please, please?
Looking forward to a reply, thanks.

Attention:
After starting the CMD-Command, if you get an error message like
"Das System kann den angegebenen Pfad nicht finden."
"The system can not find the path" *
"Path not found" *
(while all phrases with an * are estimated error messages in english, whereas the german phrase ist real on german XP)
then you started the cmd-progs from a deep subfolder.
I got this when starting from "C:\Downloads\TomTom\Keygen\KG_TT7&8\Easyusetools_for Keygen_Mapcheck_Metacheck_ttsystempatcher" what seems to long for the used internal variables in the cmd-file.

Solution: Copy the deepest folder (including all files from the the first post of this thread) to the root folder and start the cmd from there. Then the length of the path will fit on windows (better DOS) restrictions.

Super work !

Thanks, USA map works fine now on my TomTom One v3 :D . When I get back from the US I will want to archive the US map and put back the Europe map which I removed and stored using the TomTom Home software. Can I do this with the TomTom Home software or do I need to hack it, if so how?

This is a super clear and easy to use guide.

The only thing I did wrong was take the whole line
deviceID = 12345678
from the .bif file.
It should just be the 12345678 portion of the line.

Many thanks Tim.
