If it does not belong anywhere else and has to do with iPad post it here.

I've just bought a new iPad Pro. My old iPad 2 is over 5 years old, and during that time I've accumulated over 5000 books, epub + PFDs. The objective was to transfer all the books from my old iPad to the new one, preserving the iBooks Collections and books in each collections. As instructed, I ensured that both iPads run the latest OS versions, the latest iBooks version, then backed up my old iPad to iTunes and restored the new one from it. In Settings, I ensured the Sync bookmark and Notes, and Sync Collections options are enabled on both iPads. In the end, I had all the books from old iPad copied over to my new iPad, yet the critical objective of preserving Collections and books in it was not completed. I repeated the steps again, to no avail. What am I missing? I googled tons of step by step instructions, and it seems that I follow it to the dot.

Alternatively, is there a tool that allows to peek inside iPad metadata to fetch all Collections and its content?
Thanks in advance

Did you make sure collections were ticked before the sync?
