after many years with Android, I am giving a try back with IoS.
At the time when I last had an iPhone, I remember I jailbreak it.
Is this still possible? are there other ways to install apps, as for android? is there a guide I can read to catch up with the changes in the last 4 years?

Jailbreaking is still possible (and still illegal if the phone is bought second-hand!) and if you're the primary owner, you just need to bring the iphone to the network provider you got it from and they can process it for you as far as i know.
