This might have been asked before but is it at all possible to download books from my iPad rather than laptop. I get as far as 'do you want to download' but when I select yes, nothing happens. I suspect it’s a no but just thought I’d check. Maz

This is possible, but you must have a special app installed to read text documents (such as books). You can download it from any app download site if you don't have it. I had over 100 books downloaded on my iPad that I wanted to read, but after updating my system, all the text documents disappeared. It's a pity I had no access to downloaded rare books that couldn't be freely downloaded anymore. I was almost hopeless when I found salvagedata.com and was able to restore all of them.
