I an an apple n00b and bought an ipad from thrift store. Upon reaching store I learnt that it was locked with icloud and I thought i could reset it like android. But then i learnt when locked with icloud, this isn't possible. I spoke to apple but they didn't help. I searched in internet and saw some apps which claimed it could unlock it for 60USD. Are they scams? it's really an old iPad and I was hoping to use it for movies or note taking for uni.
