If it does not belong anywhere else and has to do with iPad post it here.

I'm using the Premium Downloader functionality to download magazines to my ipad.

Unfortunately they download in a frame and I can't get them to open in iBooks. If I download direct from a download site, e.g. Rapidgator they open full screen and I can choose Open In > iBooks.

Any way to do this from the Premium Downloader too?

Thanks

It appears that when downloading .rar files they open with an 'open with' dialog box.

Most magazines and epubs aren't zipped and so I still need to find out how to get that 'open with' dialog for those too.

Trying to give this topic a bump as I'm sure many people would benefit from this this.

The attached screenshot shows that the file has downloaded in a frame on the page and so must be in the file system of my iPad, but where?

I have iFile but still can't find the file so that I can open it in iBooks.

Anyone?

I solved this by jailbreaking my iPad and installing Safari Downloader.

Works like a charm.

Thanks for the response but I don't think I'm brave enough to jailbreak it! I'll have to carry on using PC and dropbox to get them on my iPad.

On iPad you can use "Puffin Web Browser Free" to download the premium links, and "Documents 5" to read.

That's good to know for if I lose my jail break!

It actually works great with the paid version of puffin browser, as it can be set up to download to Google Drive.
Then Documents 5 app can be configured to sync with Google Drive. It's amazing.
