AirVPN Nothing more trustworthy out there AFAIC. Run by old radical privacy activists and based in Italy. No logs recorded or kept. No traffic limitations or restrictions. Bitcoin encouraged and all inquiries or demands for customer info are immediately shitcanned.

I used PIA for several years but have been using Mullvad for a few months and like it a lot. It is almost twice the price of PIA but where PIA would only let you connect to a geographic area or major city, (one of 4 UK cities, or a small country) Mullvad lets you choose from among a few to a dozen servers in an area. (10 connections in London, 4 in Manchester, 10 connections in Switzerland, etc.)
You are known to them only by an account number so no other personal info is given to them, which is also a plus. The Android & Windows apps are updated every few months, and offers internet blocking and split tunneling if you want those features.

I've used ExpressVPN for about two years now. They've released a new VPN protocol called "Lightning" which is supposed to help the VPN have a faster and more reliable connection. I've switched to that protocol and I can tell that my speeds are much better. My ISP speed is 200mpbs download and with ExpressVPN (and Lightning protocol) on, I get 180mpbs download so I'm very satisfied that even with the VPN on, it almost matches my ISP speed.
Of course, ExpressVPN is expensive. Take advantage of the three months extra for free deal that pops up from time to time. I only recommend ExpressVPN if you're paying for a fast internet speed; you don't want to pay for a VPN that's only going to give you a 25/50mpbs download speed if you're paying your internet provider for a 200mpbs download speed like I am.
I believe they have a list on their website of what countries they have a VPN for (in case you want to watch region-locked content)
Of course it's not all positives. Maybe once or twice a month, the VPN server I normally use gets slow or stops working. I have to switch to another server (for example, I may be on a VPN server based in Georgia,USA but if it goes down, I switch to a New York or New Jersey server). And like other VPN's, if you're browsing Youtube, Youtube might all of sudden ask you to confirm you're not a robot. (Although this might happen when I switch servers because it detects my Youtube account was browsing from one area and all of a sudden is browsing from another area, triggering the robot check)
EDIT October 2021: After the acquisition, I don't recommend it. Once my subscription ends, I'm going with Mullvad VPN

ExpressVPN is garbage for security/privacy. Many of their servers aren't even located at the locations they claim, they are using networking/dns tricks to make it look like it. Nord does the same thing. Legit provider's aren't capable of having servers and nearly every country desirable. It's simply not feasible financially.
And their so-called new protocol is just wireguard but closed source. They may have made some modifications to it but since it's closed source I wouldn't trust it.
I especially wouldn't trust ExpressVPN since they have been bought.
Mullvad, AirVPN, Crypostorm, IVPN are more trustworthy providers.

I was using PIA untill Kape bought it, Switched over to Mullvad which is a really good one with 0 logs.
But due to their phone app messing i recently switched to IVPN, so far no regrets!

TorGuard
AirVPN
Mullvad
in flavors OpenVPN and WireGuard. Mullvad on iphone has a more safer obfuscation option.
AirVPN custom client allows easy tunneling openvpn over SSH
TorGuard has 50%-60% promo codes scattered around the internet.
WindScribe is all about upselling and overselling. NordVPN is no longer worth trusting. PIA has been purchased by the enemies of privacy. Look into who owns ExpressVPN
But until you share your VPN goals it is difficult to recommend
