now don't get me wrong, i don't really care when a GOOD book was published.
not even a bad book really.

but i have been reading for a lot of years.

and i hate when i think i found a new series, only to find out book one was written in 2010
and nothing since. ( which was a LOT more frustrating when all me books were paper)
( still its jumping to a bunch of book sites and other places looking for the rest of the books in the series)
or its from 1965 ( or 1995) and is just badly DATED.
( you know the guys who thought sci fi in 1995 was a computer in every room, or a massive computer for the whole city)

or a series was abandoned half way though.
( which is better then it SHOULD have been abandoned, yes i have to TRY to finish even a series gone bad)

or someone has renamed an old book with a new title.
( better then the hundreds of old d grade movies they have done that to, "blood sucking nazi zombies" anyone? )

lets not even talk about trying to keep up with rebooting series
( like starwars "legends" vs disney canon ( what do you mean it may or may not have happened, get a canon time time allready)

i am following about 25 authors
( and honestly i cant remember 25% of the stuff i read over the years)

but i see something with a flashy modern cover ( now picture)
and i grab it and start reading, ( always skipping everything before chapter one)

just to feel deja vu really reeally bady for about 100 pages when i realize
ITS NOT NEW, IT JUST LOOKS NEW.
( and i am older and older)

i just wish the publishing date was in the post,
wish with one hand.............

rant over.. for now.
