I try to keep the number under 30. Just to have there what I wanna read in next 6 months or so.

I try to keep it in the 100-300 range and cycle things in and out based on current interests. Any more than that and I can't page through the seeking a serendipitous draw to a cover/title and it becomes a chore to pick a book.

At present on my Kindle I have 1388 books split over 105 collections.

Lmao. I think for me I better question would be, how many books are not on my ereader. I actually have oh my god, 10,000 or more. Plus I have like 3 different tablets. And on each of them there are over 10,000 books. And I did a check over the holidays and I have 0 repeats.

As things stand right now I have 6 books in total.
It’s a new 10 inch Kindle Fire so I’m sure things will get out of hand soon enough.

I've got roughly 5000 in my Calibre library, of which 475 are currently on my Paperwhite. However, I've got nearly 15000 books not in Calibre. I collect them more quickly than I can catalogue them.

As of just this moment, only....89? Huh, that's more than I thought, and it'll be 90-something here in a minute. Should probably back them up soon. I keep however many files on my Fire temporarily, then back them up to a few different storage devices every few weeks or months, and I intend to keep them all for as long aa humanly possible. Multiple digital copies, along with physical copies when possible. For posterity. Gotta make sure the kiddos can read all those classic smutty vampire novels when they're all grown up, right?

I only have about 10 on ny ereader only the ones I am planning to read. Then if I stop enjoying a book or finish I delete and add another.

It was over 1600 the other day. But I've decided to severly trim my genres down to about six. Then a maximum of 15 or 16 authors per section. I think I'll end up by the finish around 1200 books.
Which at my current rate will take me about 8 years.

As a border, I have to admit when I first saw this title I feel nervous, I thought I collected too many books but read too little, now I must say, relief :) I’ll read more!
