Living Within Temptation by April Brenner

Overview: Living within temptation is a romantic drama, about Xena and Anala. Xena comes to India to visit a military buddy, and his wife. Trouble starts when she lands, and saves two women from a couple of Pakistani men. Little does she know, the two women are the daughters of Abhisoka a well known and liked man in India. He invites Xena to stay with them, and the real trouble starts. When Anala the eldest daughter falls for Xena, who thinks she is only interested in her because she saved her. But finds out at a private party, that Anala is more than just thankful to her. Anala introduces Xena to India’s gay night life, they end up back at Anala’s place which is empty. They go to her room, and begin to make love. Little do they know Abhisoka and the rest of the family, along with Asad and Hatim two Pakistani men sent to make negotiations between India and Pakistan. Have arrived back from a dinner meeting, Xena and Anala are caught in the act of love. Which is looked down upon, especially by the Pakistani’s. Xena tries to protect Anala and her family, by saying she forced herself on Anala. And offers Asad an offer he cannot refuse, if he leaves the family out of it Asad will pick her punishment. He agrees without hesitation, and chooses for her to be whipped for her crime. The punishment is given out, but Indian soldiers interfere and Abhisoka himself speaks up for Xena and his daughter. As the rest of the town backs him up, and Asad and Hatim is exiled from India. As Xena recovers from her wounds with Anala never leaving her side, they find out later that Amla her younger sister has been kidnapped by Hatim and Asad and taken to Pakistan. Xena offers her help and to everyone’s surprise, doesn’t try and stop Anala from helping too. Anala finds out Hatim and Asad are responsible for her brother’s death, and they planned on killing her father to silence him and his influence on the Indian people. They go and rescue Amla, just to be captured themselves, But will they make a final escape, or live their lives in a Pakistani prison?.
