Hi!
My mother-in-law loves Jeffrey Archer, his light style and his plots and twists.
I'd like to suggest her some similar authors: any reccommendations?
Thank you!

Unfortunately Fiordaliso I don't think there is anyone else who writes quite like Jeffrey Archer.
He is a one-off. I love his books too.
Luckily he has a new one out soon called "Heads You Win". Available in the U.K and Australia on 30/10
and in the U.S I think about a week later. Should be good.

Regards, Nette

Try Frederick Forsythe or Arthur Hailey
Oldies but goodies

Thank you, Nette!

@l_nolan: I love Frederick Forsyth (Icon is one of my favourite books), but I don't think my mother-in-law would like him.
I'll look into Arthur Hailey.
Thanks!

Christopher Reich's books are also very good , fast paced , full of entertainment and information.

I agree there's probably nobody who writes quite like Archer, I would however recommend Dick Francis - fast paced, simple style..or Michael Dibdin..

Take a look at Ken Follett's later series (The Kingsbridge series and The Century Trilogy series). Huge historical fiction books - but very good. Also definitely suggest Petra Durst-Benning (The Glassblower Trilogy). Strong women type historical fiction. The Glassblower series is about the beginning of the Christmas Ornament tradition in rural Germany.
