with everything going on ( and its a subject i enjoy)
i would love recommendations for books about "being prepared."
everything from being prepared for emergencies during:
hiking trips
hunting trips
vehicle road trips
road Bicycling/ mountain biking
any general natural disasters.( fire, flood, earthquake, etc)
(of course) epidemics and pandemics
economic disasters (how people dealt with situations like the great depression)
how being prepared helps dealing with times of crisis

books that deal with:
pantry inventory (what to stock up on, what you can cook for storage, where and how to store food, etc)
cooking recipes
cleaning supplies to buy or make at home
medical risks and information for various disasters. (not medical texts)
emergency repairs ( for bicycles, roofs, waterlines, vehicles, tires) for common issues

NOT GUNnut / doomsday / TEOTWAWKI / society is ending time to run and hide in the bush and live off squirrel meat stuff.
(although i expect that there might be some useful info in parts of such books)

You want to look under the search term "prepper" and you'll find everything you are looking for.

Yes, some of them will probably be the "doomday" type but the majority of them are much more sane. :)

There is a book called Emergency by Neil Strauss that sounds like what you're looking for.
