I like them if they are gripping enough and not too huge. 200 page a book seems good for me. But normally, I prefer series that have different set of leads in every book!

I love trilogies because as you've said, the story goes on, maybe until the leads get married and have children, facing problems on the way.. I like reading about their struggles and how sometimes the men grovel to get their women back.. I like kick ass women alongside an alpha male.. combine that to a trilogy and then i'm hooked.. I have a love and hate relationship with cliffhangers.

Yeah, I love them too. But many times, after the first book, it will be degradation. For ex : The night owl trilogy by M. Pierce, 1st book was phenomenal but the 2nd and 3rd? Bleh! But for me, 50 shades of grey? that was amazing! 1st book so so....2nd and 3rd book was phenomenal! I love them so so much.

And lately I re-read Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon AGAIN and I Fall in Love AGAIN! God! I love that series too much!
And for MM Romance? Don't forget Temptation Series by Ella Frank, damn that book bring romanticism MM Romance to the MAX! To the new level! And that was the book I enjoy every scenes, every words, every paragraph of it! Very merry love them too much!

It has to have an amazing rep in order for me to even consider a stand-alone. I love a good series. It's great to have multiple adventures in a story world that I discover and form a book-crush on.

Absolutely - but only if the author can carry the series/characters along. I have read tons of long written series (example - LKH's Anita Blake series) where all of a sudden the books just simply fizzle out and the books don't keep my attention any longer.

I love trilogies. There's a beginning, middle and a definite end. (it's all perspective.)

I tend to lose interest in a series after the 4th book or so. The loss of storyline, characters, plot, etc are usually what kills a really good story/plot line for me. If the characters are integrated throughout the series, then maybe. If it's new characters blending into the old and enhancing the story/plot, then i'm in there for the long haul.

Until it all goes down the drain.

Yes i like a good book series but please dont over extend on more than 20 books because the creative juice dry up and im left with a disappointing book when the author doesnt want to pull the plug because the money is too good.
