Trying to remember a book I read over a year ago, maybe over 2 years now, and theres not a lot to go on. But if anyone recognizes what little I do remember and can help me find it I'd be greatful.

An young alpha wolf returns to his home pack after some time away, I think at school. I think the pack wasn't doing great or something. He ends up in a fight with the current alpha and kills him, takeing over the pack. I'm prety sure it was the first book in the series, but was related to another series that was about a neighboring pack.
