Going back as far as I can remember (and that's four decades at least): Steve Ditko's Doctor Strange run, the Avengers and Jack Kirby's DC work from the early '70's. Current favourite comics is Eric Powell's The Goon.

Sandman, Akira are my absolute all-time favourites.

It's really hard to choose only 3.

I could mention
Strangers in Paradise, Preacher, Hellblazer, Monster (manga).

It's Incal for the first. Sci-fi and some twist in it. Jodorowski is the master for this kind of genre.
Hellblazer, love the stories.
Lanfeust Saga. Its so colorfull: Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Romance, Adventures.

That's easy.
1. 2000ad - Weekly Anthology, 1977 - 2016. It may have had it's ups and downs but it's had more ups than downs.

2. Heavy Metal - Monthly Anthology, 1977 - 1984. After that it went waaaaay downhill.

3. Strange days - Anthology, three issues, 1984 - 1985. At least twenty years ahead of it's time.

I was in the beginning and shall be forever. The first and the last. The world come full circle. I am time, the destroyer. I was the wind and the stars before this. Before planets. Before heaven and hell. And when all is done, I will be wind again, to blow this world as dust back into endless space.
