I use both google play and aldiko interchangeably.
aldiko has better ebook management options, and gives you more access to information about the book IMO but, although i try to get away from using scroogle products, they just keep sucking me back in. . .
also aldiko allows you to keep track of your book in a format you can transfer anywhere. scroogle takes your book and does crazy things with it and then hides it in places you're unlikely to find it. no bueno.
reading on the google play app is excellent though, and it syncs all of my devices without me having to do anything. . .
if only i could get aldiko to do that.

Leo, you were right.
Moonreader beats aldiko everywhere. it''s like aldiko for grownups.
Thanks for helping with the graduation.

Cool Reader has the easiest menu to use while reading (10.1" android ) , found Moon Reader is good but its menu placement irritates me.
Wish Calibre would release a standalone android reader , brilliant on the PC , but I only use it for checking edited books.

I use:
OverDrive: Library ebooks
Google Play Books: Usually for downloaded epub
Kindle: Amazon Ebooks & any mobi etc with Calibre
I prefer OverDrive, works perfectly with Library Ebooks but has some issues with some epubs from the net.
That's usually when I make use of Google Play Books.
And Kindle is just for any Ebooks from the Kindle store and any other ebook formats that I use with Calibre.
Since I usually read books/e-books one at a time (except for study material), it usually isn't a problem switching between them and all three do the job well.

I like FBReader as it handles both mobi and epub files.
Perfect Viewer for comic books.
While I am here, any idea if there is a reader that handles mobi, epub AND comic book cbr/cbz files efficiently?
I do use Calibre every now and then but I am not so keen on doing file conversions.
Thanks!

Hmm that a tough one. I've tried a few but my favorite has to be Moon+Reader Pro, followed by UB Reader and Cool Reader. I would've placed Cool Reader after Moon but the only thing that annoys me is that when using the TTS feature it jumps back to a previous chapter. It never done that when I first tried it out, so I have no idea if it has to do with the program or what not.
Smart Reader is good but since it has no TTS feature I don't really care for it.
For comics I prefer ComicRack hands down.

I have been using Moon Reader Pro and like it a lot. I had trouble with the Kindle app on my tablet. On my PC I have several different ones, but I don't do much reading on the computer.
