I hope not. I'm sick of seeing that happen. People die, let them, and their works, rest in peace.

Parnell Hall was co-writing with him on his Teddy Fay standalone novels, but he passed away in 2020. Bryon Quertermous was the co-writer in the latest novel. I have mixed feelings on someone continuing his series. On one hand, I would miss being in that literary universe...but anyone taking over would not be the same. I have never found any continued series as good as the original.

Tom Clancy was leasing his name name out long before he died, although nobody is worse for that than James Patterson. Nobody else can write a Stone Barrington novel the way he did. I'm sure people think that there's a simple checklist of things to include, a template of sorts, but there's more to it than that. I'm guessing there's another couple of books still waiting to be released, after that I'm done. I'll enjoy his massive collection of books again and again.
