Don't know if it was a short or long story. I read it (in Dutch) as a young kid and would like to show my kids this book now.

(I actually tried ChatGPT to find this book, it gave me "Riders of Sean Ban" by Dermot Bolger" as the answer, saying this was published in 1997. However I cannot find that book anywhere on internet/Google.)
