Could someone explain what "Youtube Revanced/Revanced-Extended Support" does within the Guardian app?

Could someone explain what "Youtube Revanced/Revanced-Extended Support" does within the Guardian app?

Newer versions posted here that don`t have this support give me an error such as YouTube couldn`t be opened because I`m using revanced and I have disabled the stock YouTube app. This version plays YouTube videos from the stories embedded into the app without any hesitations.

Any chance of an update?

not able to login to my account. is it dis abled for this mod? I used to be able to do it previously but after a fresh install the login page never loads.

I have changed mine few times in the past
