How to stop subscribing to threads

I'm at a loss - every time I post or fill a request, I have to take the extra step to stop subscribing to the thread.
I can't find where in settings to turn this off.
Help pls.

if you provide an amz link, pls use amz usa (not ca, uk, jp, br etc), thanks
