phpBB by all means!
Simple, easy to use...Sophisticated looks and functions of doubtful use don't make a good site.
I mean take a look around you and see the examples of good-looking but cr***y sites.
It's quality that matters and simplicity is quality. 8)

www.mybboard.net (MYBB) this is the best for free. If I have to pay I only pay for Vbulletin

Agree with Kareem. I was part of a forum which ran on vBulliten, and phpBB is much better. No need to change anything.

If you read this post correctly you will see that it was actually about Lowering the post count so that all the hit and run merchants would not clutter the forum with a load of rubbish about witchcraft etc.

Well I see you have posted 31 times now, you have your free software and you will probably not be back to read this message.

phpbb all the way easier to read then vbulletin and looks more organized no change :)

It was actually hijacked and turned into a thread about post counts. We have always run on free software, but as we are democratic we decided to see what the users preferred.

I like phpBB very much. More than vBulletin, but I want to suggest a theme modification, because this forum is with this theme since a good time, then I want to see some modification :D

im fine with phpBB or vBulletin or Invision Power Board...these three are the most stable i have found.

I think SMF forums are brilliant, very easy to navigate and pick out new posts/replies to posts ect.
