In the meantime I'm debugging both versions of igo8, the ARM/ppc one with active sinch/Ida and the x86/pc one also with olly... but of course I need help! At the moment I can find breakpoints at "geodb initfiles" and at "find street"... but I'm still far from decompiling fbl file format.
My compliments to the hackers who can asap provide help with analyzing this unknown file format!

Okay, to modify an FBL you first need to know what you'd like to modify.
If you'd like to modify the 'one way streets', you just need to find where it stores the specific street in a hex editor, and then edit that area to make it.

No sorry, it is a hard thing. I contacted my friend who works at NavNGo to tell me some clues.

It seems the .fbl is compressed/crypted

If someone could find the compression algo I am shure that a lot of people would play with the data in order to find out details of the structure.

The problem with the compression is that it could be anything, probabbly some modifyed custom algo and maybe a insterted xor to make some fast crypt in order to prevent analysing.

If anyone has some friend at navngo it would be really great to have that decompression as a start, so we can start playing with the maps

before starting to reverse... I noticed that
tomtom released map share that lets the users correct their maps (can someone confirm?), also reversing driving direction of a one-way street. Interesting, but I'm having troubles to install tt7 on miopocket, only an old version seems be working but then I can not use tt7_keygen or find the appropriate maps... and I also like igo8 somehow... On the other hand, at the moment I can not find help for hackering igo8 and changing .fbl map, but I still think it would be possible, starting from the x86 version, that can be debugged directly on a pc.

Yes, TomTom has a thing called mapshare or something like that. It was advertised like hell in Hungary.

Just downloaded igo8 2010 maps and my street's direction is correct now
In the end the official way (reporting to http://mapinsight.teleatlas.com/mapfeedback/) was successful...

(finally I could install also tomtom 7.910 on miopocket so now I have also its map correction functionality, apart from igo8 and .fbl)
