Overview: The first issue of Sam and Twitch: Case Files was released in June 2003, a few months before the cancellation of the original Sam and Twitch series. Whereas the original series was concurrent with the duo's appearances in Spawn, the continuity of Case Files starts much later in their lives.
It is the second spinoff book featuring New York City police detectives Sam Burke and Twitch Williams, popular characters originally introduced in the core Spawn title. Case Files takes the crime noir world of Sam and Twitch to a darker level, featuring unique artwork and storytelling.
