EXPLORE AND STORY MODES
Ready for adventure? The Ballad of BrightRidge and Love & Tin are two magical adventures in Story Mode. Or choose Explore mode and experience BrightRidge without quests or enemies. Can you find the ancient whale that swims the oceans? Or the hidden ruins that dot the land?

SHAPE CHANGE POWERS
Unlock the power to change into several species and explore BrightRidge from a new perspective. Soar through the sky as a golden eagle or a winged dragon. Run through the forests and a wily fox or dashing deer. Barge through the land as a towering Tree Ent and flutter peacefully among the flowers as a delicate butterfly (a fan favourite!).

PHOTO MODE
Become a nature photographer and take and save beautiful pictures of this gorgeous and vast landscape. Will you photograph an elusive deer drinking by the river? Or perhaps capture a golden sunset amid ancient ruins? Need help hunting the animals down? Use your Spirit View to magically track animals, each with their own habitat and behavior.

CUSTOMIZE YOUR WORLD
Extensive options let you customize almost anything at anytime. Change time of day, turn on Watercolor mode and experience a living painting, add effects and filters and more. On newer devices you can turn up the detail for an even more beautiful and immersive experience.

LEGENDS AND LORE
Legend Spots dot the land waiting to be discovered. Each one tells a bit about the people, places and history of BrightRidge. Or visit the cozy halls of BrightRidge Inn, sit by the fireplace, dance with the guests, or listen to their stories.

DYNAMIC WEATHER AND DAY/NIGHT CYCLE
It’s all here. Rainstorms, lightning and thunder, light breezes and gusting wind, and quiet snowfalls. Or use the options to change the weather on the fly.

•AdventureGen Engine 3.0 - a huge behind-the-scenes upgrade. Adventures are now built using modular, object oriented blocks. This is to allow building new adventures and new environments in a fraction of the time. It also allows dynamic re-ordering of quest objects, making changes to adventures simpler. The previous version contained a hybrid adventure manager that has now been fully moved to a single system.
•Map Hover mode - Options > Map > Hover
•Splash screen option to use default or saved custom quality settings. Use this to reset quality to default if you choose quality settings too high for device
•Start message saying game autosaves
•Several quality settings are now saved during sessions. Added option to reset saved quality settings to default
•Change Music - Options > Playground > Music
•Popup tooltip shows options (previously many player did not know it was an options button)
•Very experimental GamePad support - currently works with joysticks and single button only. Will work toward full support for version 8. Activate gamepad support in Options > Settings > Controls > Gamepad
•Adventures are now divided into checkpoints and chapters. There are many more checkpoints so your progress is saved more frequently. Checkpoints are grouped into chapters, which can be accessed anytime in Options > Chapters

•Save settings : Shadow distance, tree distance, terrain quality, draw distance, grass density, grass distance

•neutral textures for buttons and joysticks
•Removed time slow-down when hitting objects
•Separated Quality from Playground effects - each now has its own dedicated options panel, with a shortcut to switch between them. Quality relevant settings are now located in Options > Settings > Quality
• Spawn override points allow setting of separate respond points after death per checkpoint (previously death would respond you in the same position - the new default will respond you at the beginning of the checkpoint or at custom spawn point)
•Ocean is now global (in anticipation of new environments which will now share a global ocean, simplifying future upgrades to water)
•Reduced number of flowers to pollinate in Pollination quest
•Joysticks now invisible by default. Can be turned on in Options > Settings > controls > show joysticks (thanks rrvirus and nullzone)

•Moved Change Size button to shape change options - more logical Options > Shapechange > Size
•Restructured several options screens to be more logical
•Added more accessible platforms to dungeon Power Up level
•Signposting - Options button now glows green when the story asks you to use the options
