Rooted my ZTE Grand X Max Plus for the freedom of not being locked into to using blah blah blah apps. With root there are so many more things you can enjoy.

I rooted because I need a firewall.
Its silly that one is mandatory on a desktop but for a device like a phone that is used indiscriminately with questionably free software has no option without root.

I have my Note rooted. Having it done so on my phone rids me of default apps that I don't even use and in turn freed up my phone space so I could install more useful apps. Rom wise.. I really have no idea, I leave all the tech stuff to my brother anyway lol
