I've often wondered about the build quality of those phones, when compare to other leading manufacturers. I'm not a fan of Xiaomi's Mi launcher.

I have been thinking about one of those phones, they seem quite well spec'd. What is the build quality like?

They seem quite nice but I would like it if they were cheaper since its a lot of problems to buy it in the us and with return policies

To all who wondered about the build of xiaomi phones, I have to say, they are all great so far. I am using Redmi Note 3 + a MiBand Fitness and it's still working normally after numerous times of abusing (by me of course). The only downturn is that Xiaomi is lazy (or busy) of updating old phones to newer Android version while they are doing the opposite of theirs new phones.

two of the people known to me are using mi3 for over 3-4 months, one is using redmi and all of them are frustrated by them. they all were quite happy during the initial days. they now feel the phones are unable to handle load

Excellent hardware specs and raw performance although crippled by poor, lame, erratic -- unpredictable software, spreading its ailments around on a lot of areas: searching or exploring, audio performances, battery drainage by self triggering hidden bloatware, a.s.o. -- the only medicine is rooting or preferentially adequate rom flashing. Keep away -- pay attention to sweetoobachcha's above post.

Hi! I use a Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 since 2 years. It's still awesome. Perfect hardware, nice, large display. I love Xiaomi phones so much!

i replaced my ageing Nexus 6P with a new Mi A2 Lite about a month ago. At the suspiciously low price of 219 Cdn was expecting it to be a downgrade and I didn't really need all the horsepower and battery drain from the Nexus. It's perfect for my needs and I've been pleasantly surprised how well it handles everything I was doing before and more, and the battery life is just amazing. It's also a little smaller, which makes it more convenient to carry around. So far I haven't encountered anything which makes me regret this purchase. That reminds me - I need to add this to my profile :)

My Mediafire collection was removed and the Filescdn service is dead. I'm in the process of updating the links but in the meantime... Dead links? Please PM me if all the links are dead.

I have a Xiaomi MiA1. I bought the global edition through Amazon.CA (Canada). Since its global it doesn`t come with MIUI. Instead it comes with AndroidOne which is managed by Google, not Xiaomi. Also comes with Google services. Love it. I also have MiBand3

In my family, for 2 years now, my wife and I have Xiaomi phones, there are no problems with them, but these phones have a very advanced engineering mode for setting various hidden functions - for example *#*#4636#*#* - Hidden Android Testing menu Xiaomi Redmi Note 7. 4 menus will appear on the phone screen: (Phone information, Battery information, Battery history, Usage statistics) other codes - https://mobilespecs.net/phone/codes/Xiaomi/Xiaomi_Redmi_Note_7.html

Oppo and Oneplus make some pretty sweet phones. Xiaomi also seems to make some pretty good stuff.
