Looking for some info - very long story but a friend's child's mother has installed Family Link on their child's (15) phone. They're separated and have joint custody 50-50, week on, week off.

She won't give access to the father and controls the sons time in the phone to the point of making him call her (when he's spending time with his dad) to get more "credit". She also geotracks him and calls when he's out with friends constantly.

My question is how can he turn this off whilst he's with his dad? It's his father's responsibility to ensure his safety but also to be able to have some quality time with his son.

The phone is a Samsung S20 not rooted. Any help or ideas are most welcome. Only one we can think of is a second phone, but this is very costly.

Airplane mode might be worth checking? What about not picking up the phone? Would turning off gps work? What about turning ringing volume to silent?
