Of course, like many programs do. I'm just curious why, unlike all these other programs, this license checking routine has apparently escaped re-routing or eliminating.

I'm used to reading the lowest level code and manipulating program flow there - perhaps this 'assembly?' code is somehow unattainable with Linux...(I used to hack x86 code many moons ago, but am basically clueless about reverse engineering Java/Android .)
