Ok, this is absolute JUNK. The WORST interface I have seen!
Installation is very simple, I do not know why there is 7 page of people asking for help.

IDIOT PROOF INSTALLATION STEPS:
If you really want to install this junk, then follow these steps:
#1. TURN OFF your wireless internet AND 3G internet.

#2. Copy or Move the downloaded maps to either:
2a) / External SD / tomtom / com.tomtom.xxxxxxxx / (where xxxxxxxx is your maps' country)
Or if that doesn't work
2b) / SD Card / tomtom / com.tomtom.xxxxxxxx / (where xxxxxxxx is your maps' country)

#3. Once maps are extracted and in correct location, open /tomtom / com.tomtom.xxxxxxxx /
3a) COPY ".metadata.xml" to ".metadata.xml.bak"
3b) EDIT Approx Line 11: ".medadata.xml" and change "<size>123456789</size>" to "<size>0</size>".
3c) SAVE and close the XML file.

#4. Install the TomTom APK. Finish and hit Open.
#5. Agree to terms and conditions.
#6. Modify the settings, 2D/3D, home location, etc etc etc.
#7. Test the map and scroll around.... (NOTE: if map does not work, then go back to #2b. And move too other location!!!)
#8. Exit TomTom.
#9. Enable wireless internet our 3G connection. Launch TomTom!

***** I RECOMMEND "CO-PILOT" INSTEAD OF TOMTOM! *****

Co-Pilot is solo much betters in navigation, quality of maps, quality of interface and voice.
Download the FREE Co-Pilot and select a map to download for FREE!

Doesn't work for me. I get "No connection" error after #5.
I cannot put the file to internal SD though because is resized and it's only 135MB.
Something I can do about it?

In case anyone is looking for a faster way to download these, I just downloaded the USA and Canada package through this torrent. Took less than half an hour for 2 gigs.

http://kickass.to/tomtom-u-s-a-canada-1 ... 59561.html

You can also find most of the other regions on there as well, just make sure to select a torrent with a lot of seeds.

Step 3a) copy that file and put it where? Did you mean rename it to ".metadata.xml.bak"? Then where do you put it?

Doesnt work on Galaxy S5

Facts:
- sdcard on S5 = /storage/ExtSdCard
- There is allso /sdcard if you use a root browser

i copyd the maps to /sdcard/ : Now tomtom boots up but it says no maps found.
Changed the path in the metadata to both /sdcard/tomtom/com.tomtom.Europe and /storage/ExtSdCard/tomtom/com.tomtom.Europe Both didnt work.

Im kinda out of ideas, anyone got lucky sofar on galaxy S5? Btw on S2 it works with post1 instructions .

Hello,

Europe version was working well but no more work on Galaxy Tab 3 GT5210.

On re-install I have 2 choices :
- A message "Application not under licence, buy it on ...." when i try to type a direction
- No connexion detected ...

I'm looking for the 1.2 version to try, all link are dead.

I try on the main memory and no change.

I try with the Europe_920_5241 and the Europe_925_5447 same result. Is like something was updated last time I connect the tablet to Googleplay to DL an app.

The Europe_920_5241 was working well on the Tablet since 5 month !!

You have done something that will not let you install. If all else fails, try Sygic.

I can't find a log of what has been updated. Maybe the GooglePlay App ?!

If nothing works "Sygic included" I will re-install the original rom. :*((
