and can't believe your eyes. There is a cuckoo in your nest.
A weird ticking and scratching-sounding one but cuckoo nonetheless.
You make yet another food trip but this cuckoo refuses to eat it.
You try everything with no result, you exhaust yourself to near death
until your friend, The Wise Owl, brings you an oil cream to soothe your pained wing.
When you put some oil on them, your cuckoo goes nuts…
Right then, you know what you need to find!
What is it?
- A game where players get crazy protective about their clocks.
How to play?
- Post two locations on the grid you want to uncover and the amount of oil drops you have collected.
Example post:
Helicopter mother wrote: A1
D30
Oil drops collected: 0/40
Rules:
- Only one post per person per round. Any more and all of your posts will be ignored.
- No duplicates.
- Where a post has been edited resulting in duplicates, then the last one in time gets disallowed.
- Each round will last at least 24 hours. It may end sooner, if there are no more oil drops to find or if all regular players have posted.
- Already uncovered squares cannot be played again.
- Anyone can join at any time by posting two locations of still covered squares on the grid.
- Under the covered squares, you can discover oil drops (1, 2, 3 or 4), cuckoo clocks or cuckoo birds.
- Each player must keep count of their collected oil drops on their own and add them to their post along with two chosen locations.
- The number of oil drops each player has found will be added as an edit to their post in the running round.
- Where a post has been edited by a moderator running this contest, it cannot be edited again.
- You must collect 40 oil drops to win this contest (unless the following rule is in play).
- If a cuckoo clock is found by a player, the amount of required oil drops is cut down by half (from 40 to 20, from 20 to 10 and so on; if needed the amount will always be rounded up).
- If a cuckoo bird is found by a player, that player loses 10 oil drops of their already collected oil drops. If they have less than 10 oil drops, the amount goes back to 0.
- The order in which the squares are selected matters. For example, if a bird or clock is found on the first location, then the oil drops found on the second location will be tallied accordingly.
- There are 20 cuckoo birds and 20 cuckoo clocks on the grid.
- First 5 players who collect 40 oil drops (or less if they have found any cuckoo clocks) will get a reward.
Rewards:
- First player who collects all required drops gets a 200 WRZ$ reward.
- Second player who collects all required drops gets a 100 WRZ$ reward.
- Third player who collects all required drops gets a 75 WRZ$ reward.
- Fourth player who collects all required drops gets a 50 WRZ$ reward.
- Fifth player who collects all required drops gets a 25 WRZ$ reward.
