Auckland (New Zealand) library was a huge part of my childhood and teenage years. I spent most afternoons after school browsing the library shelves, reading, and just spending time amongst books - I'd take an average of 20 books home each week... although I am not saying I read them all! I spent so much time in the library I was offered a job as a shelver, which exposed me to more authors and some wonderful books.
Lying in the sun in my room, reading a novel all afternoon — for me, it's the best, most relaxing experience. We visit other lives, other worlds. Now, with so very little time to get to the physical library, my Kindle paperwhite (along with Amazon, Mobilism, and the calibre app) is my new library.
In my reading habits, I tend towards fantasy and science fiction genres, as well as really enjoying literary fiction and magic realism. But I always swing back to SF/F - as my favourite author Gene Wolfe, who sadly passed away this year, wrote,
"All novels are fantasies. Some are more honest about it."
Reading novels inspired me into storytelling and, being trained as an illustrator and graphic designer, I have been able to create three published children's books, a graphic novel, and many comics published throughout the real world and online. I love graphic novels and manga, although I am very picky - I may review some of my favourite graphic novels in the future.
I hope I can add some thoughtful reviews to the wonderful collection of reviews already here on Mobilism. It's a pleasure to be part of the community!

Thanks everyone!
TIdal, I would say Iain M Banks is my favourite SF writer, I was so sad to hear of his passing. I have a few more of his books to read, and maybe I should review them as I go.

Am looking forward to reading your reviews!
